Welcome to Mario’s Pizza – A Local Favourite for Nearly 3 Decades At Mario’s Pizza, we’ve been proudly serving up bigger pizzas with more toppings for nearly 30 years. Owned and operated by Mario himself, who’s been making pizzas since he was a child, the business continues to carry on a proud family legacy. Today, you’ll find three generations of pizza makers working together — from Mario’s mother, to Mario, and now his own kids joining the team. Our secret to the perfect pizza dough is that all of our dough is made fresh daily, using an aged and cherished mother dough passed down through the family since the early 1960s. For those unfamiliar, mother dough (also known as lievito madre) is a natural starter — a living culture of wild yeast and beneficial bacteria. It’s the traditional way to make dough: slow-fermented, more digestible, and full of rich, authentic flavour. Unlike instant yeast, this method gives our pizza its distinctive texture and taste, and we’re extremely proud to keep this time-honoured process alive. We use only high-quality ingredients, always choosing the best locally grown produce, and our pizza flour is proudly Western Australian grown and milled locally. Combined with our traditional techniques, it’s what gives every pizza bold flavour and consistently delicious results. From beloved classics to exciting new creations, our menu is designed to please every palate. Over the years, Mario’s Pizza has proudly received multiple awards, both locally and on a national level, recognising our commitment to quality, service, and innovation. We’re also incredibly proud of our role in the community. Mario’s Pizza has supported countless local schools, sporting clubs, social clubs, retirement villages, small businesses, and fundraisers throughout the years. We’ve employed many local staff and junior team members, including multiple siblings across families, reflecting our strong focus on family and long-term relationships. Even more special are the generations of customers we’ve served — families who came in as kids now returning with children of their own.
